About Dr. Niksarli

Dr. Niksarli, is a Harvard-trained, board-certified ophthalmologist and the medical director of Manhattan LASIK Center. In recognition of his surgical skills and outstanding vision correction outcomes, Dr. Niksarli is among the few select surgeons nationwide to receive the prestigious VISX Star Award. His leading-edge eye care practice in New York City, specifically dedicated to laser eye surgery, attracts patients from around the world.

Dr. Niksarli has successfully helped more than 50,000 laser eye surgery patients who have visited his LASIK Manhattan center achieve better vision, often greatly reducing or completely eliminating their dependence on glasses and contact lenses. Recognized as one of the most experienced LASIK providers in the United States, Dr. Niksarli is frequently asked to help other eye surgeons enhance their proficiency in the latest surgical techniques and laser technologies. His advanced training in engineering and computer science allows him to remain at the forefront of the latest advances in accurate and safe surgical equipment. He is frequently called upon to provide his expert opinion and surgical management of difficult LASIK cases. Dr. Niksarli is currently on staff at the prestigious Lenox Hill Hospital and Manhattan Eye, Ear and Throat Hospital.

Education

Dr. Niksarli obtained his undergraduate degree at Columbia University and his medical degree at Cornell University Medical School. Following an internship in internal medicine, Dr. Niksarli completed an eye surgery residency program at Lenox Hill Hospital, where he was named Chief Resident his final year. He continued his comprehensive ophthalmology training at Harvard University and completed a fellowship program at the renowned Manhattan Eye, Ear & Throat Hospital and Cornell University/New York Hospital Medical Center. Dr. Niksarli is certified to perform a range of vision correction procedures, including LASIK and PRK, as well as cataract surgery and corneal transplants.
